Accreditation

The Suicide Intervention Certification training offered by Taking Flight International Corporation is an accredited training program. Accreditation is provided by the Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC Global).

  • A graduate of the Suicide Intervention Certification training may apply to CCPC Global and receive designation as a Certified Suicide Intervention Counselor (CSIC). This credential is globally valid.

Continuing Education Units With CACCF and ICADC

Graduates of the Suicide Intervention Certification training offered by Taking Flight International Corporation obtain 52 Core Continuing Education Units (CEUs) toward certification or recertification as a drug and alcohol counselor with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF) and the International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor (ICADC).

 Category A Credits Alberta College of Social Workers

Taking Flight International training is eligible for Category A credits with the Alberta College of Social Workers if they align with your personal learning goals for the year and you submit a Category A Summary Form in your personal portfolio.

 

Education Tax Credits

Taking Flight International is approved by the Minister of Employment and Social Development. Accordingly, those who take the Suicide Intervention Certification training offered by Taking Flight International Corporation may claim tuition tax credits.
