Benefits of Grief Support Certification Training

The Grief Support Certification training program developed by Dr. Jane A. Simington, PhD., and delivered through Taking Flight International Corporation:

1) Is an accredited program with the Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC Global). A graduate of the Grief Support Certification training can apply to CCPC Global for designation as a Certified Grief Support Counselor (CGSC).

2) Is equivalent to three academic graduate level credits, transferrable to either the Master of Psychotherapy and Spirituality degree, the Post-Master’s Art Therapy certificate, or the Master of Theological Studies from St. Stephen’s College, located on the University of Alberta campus.

3) Is transferrable for 40 Continuing Education Units toward certification or recertification as a drug and alcohol counselor with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF) and the International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor (ICADC).

4) Eligible for Social Work Category A credits with the Alberta College of Social Workers if they align with your personal learning goals for the year and you submit a Category A Summary Form in your personal portfolio.
